In 1950s Boyle Heights, a young woman stages a Yiddish play with her father as a front to help elect LA’s first Latino city councilmember, all while under quiet FBI surveillance. As opening night nears, love, identity, and memory collide in a community reckoning with assimilation and the cost of holding on to a disappearing world.
